The Growth Lab relies on the generous support of individuals, organizations, and foundations to fund its greatest asset: our team, who are dedicated to fulfilling our mission of inclusive prosperity.

Our staff, researchers, and software engineers are developing research at the frontier; applying what we learn to the real world through policy engagements, and building tools that translate our research insights into public goods.

Fund Impactful Research

In our policy engagements, our teams utilize our groundbreaking methodologies, analytical skills, and research capacities to generate rigorous, unbiased, evidence-based, and data-driven research that helps countries, regions and cities design and implement policies aimed at promoting sustainable and inclusive growth.

We managed to create centers of growth in different sectors that’s really paid back in relatively short time. There is a case study on the fason/ textile industry that, together with the Growth Lab, we came up with a package of really good procedural and technical changes, and legislative changes to further growth in the sector and in two years the growth numbers were spectacular – a 24 percent increase in exports.”

Bring Tools To Policymakers

The Growth Lab teaches and trains economic development practitioners from around the world. Our course alumni network stands at 3,000+, many of whom are teaching our methodologies in graduate programs at top universities. Our digital tools, all made publicly available, allow us to engage with a wider audience and ensure our research efforts can make a difference in people’s lives, company productivity, and government policy efforts.

The Millennium Challenge Corporation has been deeply following and adopting many of the intellectual thinking and diagnostic tools that have been developed at the Growth Lab. We use the constraints analysis of what is called the Growth Diagnostic as one of our core tools to developing or selecting the sectors in which the Millennium Challenge Corporation puts its grant resources into developing countries.”
