Ryosuke Shimizu

Ryosuke Shimizu is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

Previously to enrolling at HKS, he spent five years working at the Bank of Japan (BOJ) as an economist He conducted analyses on Japanese economies, focusing on government expenditures and balance of payment and contributed to BOJ’s economic forecasts.

Maria Ignacia Ossa

María Ignacia Ossa recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She’s an economist specializing in public policy with almost three years of consulting experience and three years working in the public sector in Chile. She has worked in research on innovation and entrepreneurship, and implementing public programs such as Challenge prizes and social impact contracts.

Marco Brancher

Marco Brancher is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023). He also holds a master’s degree in economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.

Previously to enrolling at HKS, he worked in economic consulting and economic research for a think tank in Brazil, exploring policy design, impact evaluation and economic forecasting. He also worked as Head of Data Analysis at Impulso, an ONG working with the Brazilians public sector to improve health public policies.

Jack Gisby

Jack holds a BA from the University of British Columbia and recently graduated with an MPA (Economic Policy) from the London School of Economics.

Prior to enrolling at LSE, he worked in the financial services sector in Canada – advising clients on the management of foreign currency risk. While studying at the LSE, he’s worked as an analyst at the World Data Lab in Austria – advising private sector clients on market entry/exit strategy – and completed a capstone project at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development – analysing the ‘digital divide’ within the EBRD’s early transition countries.

Henry Rounds

Henry Rounds is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

Prior to enrolling at HKS, Henry was a strategy consultant with his own practice, advising nonprofits, foundations, and social entrepreneurs on how to increase their scale and effectiveness. Previously, as a Principal Consultant with Wellspring, he worked directly with executives, leading and managing diverse projects in both international and US contexts. Prior to this position, and immediately after completing an MBA at MIT Sloan, Henry worked as a project management consultant with major biotechnology companies.

Harumi Hasegawa Sanchez

Harumi Hasegawa Sanchez is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

She has more than five years of experience working in Peru. First, in a local think-tank leading the investment-related market research team and then, in a higher education corporation as the head of the strategic planning area. Her research interests are mainly focused on studying the Peruvian monetary policy. 

Julia Conrad

Julia Conrad is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the Master of Public Administration program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

Prior to enrolling at HKS, Julia worked for five years at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) in Dakar, Senegal, where she managed a portfolio of micro- and agriculture finance projects across Africa. Her studies at Harvard have focused on Infrastructure Development, Development Policy, and Climate Change.

Julia also has a BSc in International Economics from the University of Tuebingen and a MEc in World Economics from the University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai.

Fernando Mundaca

Fernando Mundaca is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

Previously, he worked in the Central Reserve Bank of Peru, monitoring and forecasting inflation and economic activity. Fernando holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico.

Enzo Dominguez Prost

Enzo Dominguez Prost is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School (expected graduation in May 2023).

Previously, he worked in Argentina for five years in the Ministry of Production on topics related to industrial policy and international trade. He has a BA (2012-2015) and a MA (2016) in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina.

Caitlin McIlwain

Before starting her MPA at LSE, Caitlin earned her BS at the University of Washington in Economics and also minored in Applied Mathematics.

Caitlin’s always been interested in the ways in which economics interacts with political science to determine feasible public policy for the betterment of social welfare. After graduating, Caitlin worked for EY for three years doing transfer pricing (economic analysis of international tax law) for large corporations. Upon wanting to interact more with policy and the public sector, Caitlin enrolled at LSE in September 2021.
