Sophia Henn
- Former Research Analyst
Sophia joined the Growth Lab as a Research Assistant in 2021 and is now a Research Analyst. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 with a BA in Economics and Peace Studies. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on the implementation of intrastate peace agreements in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, agricultural development policies in Rwanda, and education decisions of remittance-receiving households in Mexico.
Her research interests include economic complexity, post-conflict development and governance, and machine learning applications in the social sciences.

Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Prosperity in Namibia
The Growth Lab has been working with the Government of Namibia since 2020 on a project to disentangle the factors that inform Namibia’s economic prospects. The research outputs of this initiative may in turn contribute to the policymaking process in the country and inform policymakers abroad facing similar issues.
