Nancy Shuman

Nancy Shuman is the Executive Assistant to Faculty Director Ricardo Hausmann where she supports the senior team and acts as a direct liaison to faculty, staff, fellows, students, and key external partners.

Nancy brings a diverse professional background spanning academic institutions, biotech, and technology startups and corporations. A proud “boomerang,” she first joined Harvard Kennedy School as a temp in 2016 before returning to HKS as part of the Growth Lab team.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations from Emerson College and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Northeastern University. Outside of work, Nancy serves on the Board of Directors of Respond, Inc., and is an active member of Women Applying AI and her local Toastmasters chapter.
