Promoting Economic Growth and Employment in Andalucía

Our researchers are identifying barriers to economic growth and pinpointing diversification opportunities across Andalusia, Spain’s southern most region. A key emphasis is placed on green growth and the region’s potential to become a key supplier of specific goods and services needed to help the world decarbonize.

Project Dates

July 2024–January 2025

Funded By

Unicaja

In this project, our researchers are exploring sustainable and inclusive economic growth potential in Andalusia, Spain’s most southern region.

The research focuses on identifying barriers to economic growth and pinpointing diversification opportunities across Andalusia. A key emphasis is placed on green growth and the region’s potential to become a key supplier of specific goods and services needed to help the world decarbonize. By capitalizing on Andalusia’s strategic position and renewable energy potential, the initiative uncovers opportunities such as attracting energy-intensive industries and fostering green value chains.

This project is a collaboration with Unicaja known as “Proyecto CREA” (Economic Growth and Employment in Andalucía).
